Arac

Yes, I think the traditional craftsmanship can survive in a modern society in Japan. There are two opinions to support this idea.

First, the products created by skilled craftsman can attract foreign tourists’ attention. They are looking for appearing suveniors like kiriko, or cutting grass in English while staying in Japan. As a result, tourism industries will get prosperous and ultimately it can boost the Japanese economy.

Additionally, the traditional products like kimono can be competitive with that of foreign industries because these items are carefully woven and dyed by highly skilled persons. These craft persons have kept outstanding qualities of their arts due to their hand picking works and their pride, which have been inherited from the generation to generation.

For these reasons, traditional craftwork industries can last in modern society.

Arac

Yes, I think the traditional craftsmanship can survive in a modern society in Japan. There are two opinions to support this idea.

First, the products created by skilled craftsman can attract foreign tourists’ attention. They are looking for appearing appealing(?) suveniors souvenirs like kiriko, or cutting grass glass in English while staying in Japan. As a result, tourism industries will get prosperous and ultimately it can boost the Japanese economy.

Additionally, the traditional products like kimono can be competitive with that those of foreign industries because these items are carefully woven and dyed by highly skilled persons (artisans). These craft persons have kept outstanding qualities of their arts due to their hand picking works and their pride, which have been inherited from the generation to generation.

For these reasons, traditional craftwork industries can last in modern society.

Arac
