I think that it is better for them to have pets. I have two reasons. First of all, pets are so cute that we can refresh. I have been very healed playing with pets lately. Secondly, keeping pets leads to increase conversation with between other people. For instance, regardless of age, pet topics is very exciting and we can meet many people through the pet. Because of all reasons above, I think that it is better for them to have pets. (83 words)

以下に気づいた点をチェックしました。

修正例

I think that it is better (good) for them to have pets. I have two reasons.First of all, pets are so cute that we can refresh ourselves. For example, I have been very healed playing with pets lately. Secondly, keeping pets leads to an increase in conversation with between other people. （→lead toの後ろは名詞）For instance, regardless of age, pet topics is are very exciting for people of all ages. Therefore, and we can meet many people through the pet. our pets. Because of all reasons above, I think that it is better for them to have pets.

他動詞・自動詞の違いに注意

リフレッシュする refresh は後ろに目的語が必要です。このような動詞を他動詞と言います。
目的語が必要ないのが自動詞です。自動詞は前置詞+名詞が後ろに続くことが多いです。

We can discuss this issue. （discuss 他動詞　→　うしろにすぐ目的語） we can talk about this issue. （talk 自動詞　→　前置詞＋名詞）

refreshと同様、enjoy も間違いやすい他動詞です。
enjoyは他動詞なので、目的語が必要です。

×Students enjoyed during summer holidays. ○Students enjoyed themselves during summer holidays.

lead to の後ろは名詞

lead to（～の結果につながる）のtoの後ろは名詞が続きます。ここでは increase の品詞を名詞と捉えて修正してみました。

lead 人 to の形だと、「人を～に導く」となり、toの後ろは名詞・動詞のどちらも使えます。ややこしいですね～。

個人的な経験は具体例として使うとよい

最初お理由の後の「ペットに癒されている」の部分ですが、主語に I が使われていて、自分の経験になっています。

First of all, pets are so cute that we can refresh ourselves. I have been very healed playing with pets lately.

Bodyの中の support sentences（理由をサポートする文）は、topic sentence（理由部分）の根拠を示すために、一般的な例をもってきた方が説得力が強くなります。単なる個人の感想では、あまり説得力がないと言われています。

英検協会が発表している「ライティングテストの採点に関する観点および注意点（準2級）」によると、個人的な経験は、具体例として使う程度にとどめた方がよいと書かれています。※解答例（４）をご参照ください。

ペットに関しては個人の経験を例にするのも悪くないので、For example, を前につけて「1例」であることを明言しておけばよいのではと思います。

引き続き、ペットネタのライティングです。準２級の合格記を書いてくださった菜月さんが、２級に向けて書いてくださいましたので、ご紹介します。

I think it is good for people to have pets. There are reasons why I think so. First, Our health get a good effect by having pets. For example, if we have dogs, we can stay healthy by walking with them everyday. Second, Some people have pets such as dogs and cats from childhood. These people’s charactor is friendly and they are very kind to eledly people. For these reasons, I think it is good for people to have pets. (80 words)

ペット賛成派のライティング。理由１：健康に良い。理由２：性格形成に良い。内容はばっちりです。以下に気づいた点をチェックしました。

修正例

Second, （reason の部分が抜けている？）some people have pets such as dogs and cats from childhood. These people’s charactor is These people tend to be friendly and they are very kind to eledly elderly people. For these reasons, I think it is good for people to have pets.

have a good effect on で書き換えてみました

effect を使って「～な影響がある」は、have a XXX effect on がナチュラルな書き方なので、書き換えてみました。ここでは、「ペットが健康に良い」の因果関係になるので、主語がhaving pets、onの後ろが people’s healthになります。

First, having pets has a good effect on people’s health.

Bodyの中を、reason + example の形式にする

理由２で書かれてある内容はすごくよく分かります。ペット好きの人ってたいていフレンドリーで優しいですね。

しかし、この部分は「例」として使った方が効果的です。この例で言いたいことは、「ペットは性格形成に良い影響がある」ということですよね。まずそれを先に書くと、もっと明確に伝わるようになります。

また、今回の英作文は80語でやや短いので、reason部分を加えると語数的にもちょうど良いボリュームになります。

Second, pets also have a positive impact on the character development of children. People who had pets such as dogs and cats in their childhood tend to be friendly and kind to elderly people.

「～によい影響がある」は、have a positive influence on も使えます。
